| Jake is a dashing sort in the chiseled face with a moderate build that is between cut and athletic. He has the body of a man who used nature and his life rather than a gym to build his body. |
| History |
Jake was born of the humble beginnings between a Xeno-Social Anthropologist Frank Freeman and his Lovely Linguist wife Laura.
While his father went on expeditions it was Laura that raised little jake mostly as her work could be done from home via subspace and computer exchange.
He grew up playing with the tribal kids on weekends and Federation Kid by week days. He went through school in an accelerated program augmented by home schooling and when he was 14 went on a walk about in the bush. He was becoming a Tribal warrior. He located his Totem and was said to be a Spiritual warrior among the tribesmen.
He once was serious about a woman named Nora Hill; they ahd a child together: Jonathan. Beofre his second birthday Jake took Nora and Jonathan into the Bush to show where hea had come from. Tragically Jonathan and Nora were attacked and teh baby pulled away into the Bush. It is a legend of sorts that Jake hunted down an entire pack of Dongos to the last one. It is said none of te pack survived. When asked Jake just tells the same answer; 'that pack will not bother any other children.'
Upon coming out of the walk about Jake went to the Academy in the Security and tactical. He seemed to be more of a natural and while on the combat simulations had shown keep observation of many aspects. He is often one to walk around and seem to have his head focused on nothing and notes everything.
His one weakness was while debating between Undercover Work and Straight Ship posting as security he had met and fallen in love with security operative and while in a sting operation was killed. Freeman grieved and was said to have changed; he started to womanize more than normal and could not have a relationship long. He was obsessed with his duty and took every assignment without question.
many of these assignments are still classified and captain's eyes only with proper security requests.
Doing a tour on the Archimedes out of the academy he was quick to be a useful person in keeping track of the Officers in his charge. often from vantage points not normally taken. He once found a Klingon Assassin in a crowd as well as protecting a terrorist bombing once by noting the various men in a crowd that seemed out of place. They were avoiding eye contact and seemed to be strategically 'skirting' the festivities by his description of events.
His time at the Star base Pandora was noted and he was give assignment to the Calhoun where he has proven a effective Security Officer and Tactical man for the Present Command chain. He was on Gamma shift as preferred it as it was quiet. |

Profile |
| He is a calm sort and jovial to a fault while a crouching tiger under his facade; when he seems distracted is when he is ready to act. Jake lets others react and give subtle word of wisdom and called everyone ‘Mate’ at some point. He seeks ‘Me Mates’ and keeps them close as they are guarded friends that he would do anything for. There are a few and he is always ready to add more. |

Jake has a simple job description; do what it takes. He can tag team operations; snatch and grab or find a face in a crowd.
He specializes in tactics and ship born and station warfare. He also is one to study an enemy and anticipate; he will say is based upon watching wild animals and predicting them adn that madmen and hostiles are not different.
Observation and Investigation are his specialties. He is always ‘looking about’ almost as though bored yet taking mental snap shots of his surrounding.
Above all he sees himself as a Protector; and growing up Down Under he learned a lot from tracking and the bush. He is often caught comparing his work to ‘the Bush.’ He has used Bows, projectile weapons and well as blade weapons to survive.
Deadly with hand or Phaser Rifle, he will wait for shots underfire before he shoots. |

Interests |
Freeman is a hunter type; he learned in the Bush what to do and how to survive; he will use a gym but prefers to work out on the Holo-deck in a familiar environment. Jake is said to Swim like a crock, climb like a monkey and hunt like a Game Cat.
Often likes to sit by a campfire and whittle or by candle light in his Quarters to relax.
He also know Bushman language as well as Federation Standard and some Klingon with Ferengi thrown in for sport. |

Jake hates crowds; he forces himself to be in them as his job; uses what he learned herding animals and identifying them to help his Job as tactical but would rather be out lone where no one can 'hurt him.
He was in love once and she dies working on a undercover case. He never got to tell her good-bye; this makes him overly protective of someone he cares about; especially if she gets under his facade. |
