Update from the USS Valkyrie

There are things going on behind the scenes in the waning hours of the Federation's association with Jhacheyon. The Ferengi, various politicians, and even the son of the High Minister himself have secret plans in play, some working together, some against others. The promise of the planet's new relationship is threatening to descend into chaos at the very moment it begins. And guess who's caught in the middle?
Commodore Bennek led an away team to the surface to rescue the other away team that went to the surface, led by LtCdr. Foster. Craid, leader of the insurgents, appears to have been killed, but Ms. Foster did not return alone, so that still has to be played out. Cdr. PaRel had to sit through the ceremony with his wife and the Federation Ambassador. Well, so not everybody had it rough, I guess. Lt. Davis is heading for the surface to help with the final evacuation of the Embassy staff. And the ship is under attack by deadly 'footballs' sent by the Ferengi.
