Personal Log: Brandon Allard

*sigh*
I suppose it had to happen eventually. I started a new job yesterday. [No congratulation needed - I'm not thrilled about it.] This is of course why I am typing this so slowly (even though you can't tell)... I hurt all over. Let's just say that the daily life of a computer technician does not prepare one for manual labor. It does however, make you hate the sudden change just that much more. I'm told that after the first week or two it's not so bad... but that's not really very comforting at the moment.

Anyway, I have exactly an hour left until I have to head out yet again, but I wanted to at least get this said somewhere before I come home and pass out again. I'm hoping to get Friday off, and/or definitely Saturday, so if I'm not hurting too much I'll really really try to post then. I'm trying not to fall too far behind though. It's just that by the time I'm done reading them, I've got something else that needs doing elsewhere. (Guess Guido wasn't lying then... it really is possible to be too busy to post! ;-)

Here I go again...

Sigh.
Here I see all the other activity going on here so I decide to write something too. It shows just how little I come here that I needed to generate a new password after forgetting the old one. It wasn't even in my great big plain text password file I keep hidden away. (yes I should know better. Shut up. If you saw how many different passwords I have and need to remember you'd understand.)

Anyway... I don't really have anything worth reading to say. Maybe that's why I haven't been here in so long. Oh, but I can say that I am very very verrrrry happy with my new monitor! That's something to talk about! I can also say that everybody needs to rush out and buy one. Of course I have used lcds before, but having your very own, and a big one too is just... uhm... I know there's a good word for it... I'll just say "froody" in honor of the new movie coming out. Everything is so sharp and crispy and LARGE. Though my desk does seem rather empty now that my monster 17" CRT is off it. (That thing is friggin' huge and HEAVY! - Yes, that's right. It's so heavy it needs to be in bold to accurately describe it!)

Ooooh! Today is Thursday! I just remembered. That means that if Merijn dragged himself to uni, he can send me the last DS9 ep I need! Which means I can burn the rest of them episodes behind it. Which means like another 6G of free space! Woo! Too bad there's another 50-something Gigs of TNG, VOY and TOS still to burn. Oh well. For the moment DS9 is my favorite. Or at least it's the closest to being complete and that makes it look like it's my favorite. Even though it really is. Eek. Coming dangerously close to getting silly. Time to go back to the chat and spy some more. Or maybe coerce some people into playing EF.

Yes, it's finally upon us. But as such a nice person, I'll split this into two pages so nobody sees the spoilers who doesn't want to.

Ok, useless stuff... useless stuff... Oooh I know. How about opinions? Those are really useless. But an opinion about what? Lot's of people like sharing their interests on these things. So I think I'll share things that I don't like. Yes. In the spirit of joining the masses, I will whine about every little thing that annoys me.

Woo! I've actually joined the masses and started another complete waste of space on the net. Since clearly I have no chance of being the best ever blog, I will instead attempt to be one of the most useless!
