(USS Atlantis - Shuttlebay - 2393.12.06, 2110)

"You know what is funny?" Dmitri said as the team boarded the USS Elbe.

Dawson sighed. "Alright, let's get this over with so we can leave. What is funny?"

"The Elbe," Dmitri said. "It's a Danube class."

"Yes, positively hilarious." Dawson sat down next to the pilot. "What do you think, is the Danube a funny class of runabouts?"

(Reply pilot)

"You both don't get it?" Dmitri said, looking from the pilot to Dawson and back. "Buckling, tell me you get it?"

(Reply Bugling)

Dmitri sighed. "Danube. The Blue Danube, anyone?" He paused. "Computer, play The Blue Danube, by Johann Strauss II." The computer started playing the music he requested. "Still not ringing any bells?"

(Reply any)

"2001: A Space Odyssey," Dmitri explained cryptically. "A so-called science-fiction movie from Earth, twentieth century? Where they discovered a big magnetic anomaly on Luna, and as they show the main character travelling there, this music is heard." He looked at the other members of the away team as if the connection had been obvious without his explanation.

Dawson rolled her eyes. "Can we just go before this nut case finds even more connections to old Earth movies, like he always does, and which will invariably end with us being eaten by spacelizards or something."

(Reply pilot, Bugling)

"Well, there is this other movie, where..." Dmitri started.

"Dmitri, just shut up until we get to that moon, please?" Dawson said.

(Reply Bugling, pilot, any)

Jamie deBont, Personal Log - Stardate 2391.04.26

Today I arrived at my new dutystation, but we arrived at the Odyssey was in the middle of a medical crisis. Apparently there was some sort of harmful radiation in the region of space where the ship currently was and this caused a disease called the 'Tarr' by an alien species who called themselves the Nuhmarhi.

To my own horror not only the crew of the Odyssey had been infected with this deadly disease, but everyone who traveled in the region, so including me and the other officers who traveled with me. Whether it is luck, coincidence or something else, these Nuhmarhi also have a cure, but this required the whole crew to go into stasis at the same time. Apparently Captain Bennek trusted these aliens enough to agree to this procedure, and so every Odyssey crewmember was put into a stasis pod.

I had expected that I would just wake up several hours later and that the disease was gone, but the Nuhmarhi hadn't told us - or someone forgot to tell me - that we would be experiencing dreams. Or actually nightmares from what I have heard from others. If this is a coincidence or a result from the disease, I don't know, but the result was rather unsettling. I dreamt that the Odyssey was under attack and that my console turned into some total alien language, yet nobody else seemed to notice. Commander Velden took over my station on the bridge he was killed when the console exploded. Captain Bennek blamed me for his death and threatened to lock me up in the brig.

Instead I ended up near a frozen lake - a location that I can't remember ever having visited - where several officers were just watching how Ensign Reyk was drowning. Again I was unable to perform my duty because when I tried to reach Reyk I was stopped by Velden, who told me Reyk had to die, just like he had, and that everyone on the Odyssey would die because I would be unable to do my job.

This was only the beginning of what would turn into a very odd dream, and the weirdest part really is that I can remember a lot of the details, which usually isn't the case when I dream. Anyway, both me and Reyk ended up in the lake but we didn't drown; we ended up inside a large plastic ball, together with Lt. Helfrump and the captain. The ball was launched into the air, and then when it landed the ball was punctured and I almost was choked to death by it. Velden was watching this but in the end he saved me because he wanted me to be a guest at his wedding.

The dream turned even weirder when I dreamt that I didn't want Velden to marry the ship's CMO, because we had children together. What now seems to be totally ridiculous, but in the dream it just felt so real yet also confusing at the same time.

Luckily the dream didn't get weirder after that, as everyone woke up. The Tarr seems to have been cured, but the Nuhmarhi were already gone before we could thank them or anything. The captain didn't seem to be worried about this, but I don't like it at all. A mysterious disease, aliens with a miraculous cure (with side effects they didn't bother to inform us about) and when we're cured they are just gone. At the moment everything seems to be okay though, everyone is cured and the ship is still here. Let's hope things will be cleared up tomorrow.

Pandora Station, Stardate 2391.05.01

We have arrived on Pandora Station! I haven't seen a lot of it yet, but this afternoon that will probably change.

This morning, Pandora's First Officer, I think his name is Jolondo, showed us around in Main Operations. It was quite boring, but I think he's cute.

And of course, again dad won't let me finish writing something. I have to help him unpack. We're going to live here for several years, so why hurry? Anyway, I've got to go.

USS Tesla, Stardate 2391.05.01

I am glad that we will arrive at Pandora Station soon, Seth's really annoying when he doesn't have something to do.

Although I have to admit: it is very boring here on this ship. It almost makes me wish I was back at Starbase 153, but it's boring there too, especially since Sally had to leave when her mother was assigned to the USS Somethingy. I hope there are some other kids on Pandora, I mean, there have to be. It's a lot bigger than the starbase, and a lot more people live there.

Oh, my dad is calling me, I guess we are almost there. Bye!
