(|Beyond Antares|)
Beyond Antares is the name of a song that Uhura sang over the comm system to Kevin Riley when he was stuck on duty in Engineering. The lyrics are:
The skies are green and glowing
Where my heart is,
Where my heart is
Where the scented lunar flower is growing
Somewhere beyond the stars
Beyond Antares
I'll be back, though it takes forever
Forever is just a day
Forever is just another journey
Tomorrow a stop along the way
Then let the years go fading
Where my heart is,
Where my heart is
Where my love eternally is waiting
Somewhere beyond the stars
Beyond Antares.
(TOS: The Conscience of the King)

(|Kathleen|)
Kathleen is a song Kevin Riley sang when ill. Parts of the song are:
I'll take you home again, Kathleen...
Across the ocean wild and wide...
I've watched them fade away and I...
And tears bedim your loving eyes, Oh...
I will take you home, Kathleen...
Where your heart will feel no pain,
When the fields are fresh and green,
I'll take you to your home, Kathleen.
(TOS: The Naked Time)

(|Reclaw and his victory over the Twelve Sons of Ch'Tan|)
Reclaw and his victory over the Twelve Sons of Ch'Tan is a Klingon drinking song. While singing this song, Klingons stomp, and beat flagons on the table. It is an Epic. The 12th brother is the Lord of the Dead and Reclaw challenges him in the city of the dead. This is only one portion of the song:
"SuvwI' 'a' ghaH ReQlaw 'e' (For ReClaw was a mighty warrior)
qu' qabDaj; jev 'e' rur (Terrible as thunder)
nom vIHchu'j Hov tIH rur (Swift as starlight)
jupDajvaD yoHbej ghaH (Stalwart to his friends)
jagh DajvaD Heghna' ghaH (and death to his enemies)" (ST: DS9: The Left Hand of Destiny: Book One by J.G. Hertzler and Jeffrey Lang)

(|T'saln's Cicadian Suite No. 9|)
This work has soft opening strains. The simple repeating melody of the piece was built upon by graceful, willowy harmonies that grew more complex with each repetition, the notes flowing into one another. Written over 300 years ago by the Vulcan composer T'saln. (Book: ST: DS9: The Lives of Dax: "Allegro Ouroboros in D Minor" by S.D. Perry and Robert Simpson)
