(|Ice bores|)
Andorian worms that live in the ice. They generate heat through a chemical reaction. When Shran was a boy, he stumbled into a den of ice bores, and wound up with 3rd degree burns over half his body. (ENT: The Aenar)

(|Iguana|)
Any of various large herbivorous typically dark-colored tropical American lizards (family Iguanidae) that have a serrated dorsal crest and are important as human food in their native habitat.

(|Immunocytic Gel Worms|)
Life form used by the Denobulans in medical treatments.

(|Interphasic Organisms|)
Parasitic life-forms that attach themselves to the epidermal layers of their hosts with osmotic tendrils and extract cellular peptides. Some of these creatures were brought on board the USS Enterprise-D in 2370 after the installation of warp core components that were manufactured on Thanatos VII. They were dormant until the warp core was activated. They are invisible to the naked eye, and tricorders cannot detect them. They can only be detected with an interphasic scanner. They were destroyed by ejecting them to a high-frequency interphasic pulse. (TNG: Phantasms)
