(|Kadreelan plague|)
Most victims of the Kadreelan plague were killed swiftly and horribly, but a few survived with their mental faculties ravaged. It made them insane. (ST: TNG #22: Imbalance by V.E. Mitchell)

(|Kalla-Nohra syndrome|)
A chronic medical condition. The only known cases resulted from a mining accident at the Gallitepp forced labor camp for Bajorans, sometime prior to its liberation in 2358. It is similar to Pottrik syndrome and utilize the same medication. Diagnosis can be made using a lower pulmonary bio-probe. The test reads positive for Kalla-Nohra syndrome, but negative for Pottrik Syndrome. (DS9: Duet)

(|Klingon Augment Virus|)
In 2154, the Klingons began experiments to create Klingon Augments based on Human Augments. Several Human Augment embryos were found in the wreckage of the Bird of prey used by Malik. They used these embryos to alter Klingon subjects. It worked at first, but then their neural pathways started to degrade and they died. One of the test subjects was suffering from the Levodian flu and the augment genes modified the virus and it became airborne. The virus spread from planet to planet. Millions were infected. The virus was immune to every antiviral they tried. The virus didn't become contagious until stage three. Human Augment DNA was part of the virus. The cranial ridges of the test subjects dissolved. (ENT: Affliction)

Phlox's cure for the virus interrupts the transcription sequence. It stopped the genetic effects of the virus in stage one. There would be changes in appearance, minor neural reordering, but no development of stage two characteristics, and no enhanced strength, speed or endurance. The disfigurement will be passed to their children. (ENT: Divergence)
